Michael has worked and exhibited extensively in both London and New York, with his paintings held in private collections worldwide. His work was selected for the London Underground poster Downtown to Soho in 1996 and has appeared on the covers of publications including Science. His paintings have also been featured in Vogue, The Observer and The Times. During his time in New York between 1990 and 1995, Michael illustrated an edition of Frances Hodgson Burnett's The Secret Garden for publisher Hugh Lauter Levin.
Inspired by the mystery and magic of trees and the natural world, Michael often incorporates these themes into his landscapes, urbanscapes and seascapes. He studied at West Surrey College of Art & Design and Brighton Art College, where he received his BA (Hons). Michael currently resides in Worthing on the south coast of England.
