Silver, nickel, and steel plated spoons.
"The use of discarded, found and multiples of objects is fundamental to my art practice. All objects are saturated with cultural meaning, which, as an artist I seek to explore, unravel and investigate. Mundane objects like spoons, nails and cork screws come with their own readymade histories and associations which I like to unravel by rearranging or distorting them to give new meaning as sculpture. On a visit to a vineyard on the South Downs I noticed how much the grape tendrils looked like cork screws – how apt, I thought!"
