Acrylic on Wooden Panel
On a still empty beach, the artist was inspired how the the wind and the sound of the sea can almost create songs rolling into shore.
Claire Howlett b. 1966 is a British artist.
The coastline resonates deep within as Claire spends as much time as possible on the Cornish coast absorbing the light and the tangled breeze. Her expression and inspiration are derived from the landscape: the play of light on water, those almost transcendental summer days or the force of a storm at sea.
She studied art at Oxford Brookes, she went on to train with an art restoration studio in Berkshire learning the craft, focusing primarily on the restoration and retouching of oil paintings. Claire continued her training through courses at the Porthmeor studios in St. Ives, The Newlyn school, the RWA and in Marbella and Oxfordshire. Her painting studio is based near her home in Oxfordshire.
This piece is framed.
Dimensions: 330 x 330 mm.
