Pip Bishop initially studied Constructed Textiles at Middlesex University, continuing her studies at the Royal College of Art, London, where she received an MA in 1983. She went on to work in New York in fashion and textiles for several years. The later part of her career has been spent as an illustrator and textile designer, while simultaneously pursuing a lifelong passion for life and clothed figure drawing and painting. Her clients have included Missoni, Zaha Hadid and OMNITV.
Now working primarily in acrylics, inks and watercolour, Pip explores the clothed body, textiles and florals, with her practice driven foremost by colour harmony and the qualities of the medium. Pip lives and works in Worthing, Sussex.
