The Pavarotti Art Case

A unique ode to artistry in its finest form, LINLEY, Universal Music and the Fondazione Luciano Pavarotti are delighted to have created a limited-edition art compendium. Celebrating the passions of the musical icon, Luciano Pavarotti, it is destined for those who appreciate art, collect fine objects and are discerning lovers of music. This unique item supports the educational cause of the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation, which helps aspiring young opera singers.

Luciano Pavarotti, the universally acclaimed Italian tenor, touched the hearts of millions throughout his career but few knew that behind the scenes Pavarotti was an accomplished painter and a LINLEY connoisseur, with various bespoke pieces throughout his house.

The Collaboration resulted in a limited edition of 10 'Life in Art' experiences, now available and consisting of:

Flights to Bologna for you and a loved one Two nights’ accommodation in a 5* hotel Dinner hosted at the Pavarotti residence by Nicoletta, Luciano’s wife The commemorative unique compendium, plus immersive speaker system and headphones to listen to Pavarotti’s entire catalogue of recordings White-glove service from art handlers and acousticians who will install the piece in your home, anywhere in the world A lifetime supply of brushes, canvases, and oil paints matched to the exact colour palette Pavarotti himself used

Each LINLEY art compendium is crafted from fumed figured eucalyptus and walnut veneer. The internal marquetry portrays Pavarotti’s own painting of Venice in 26 hand tinted veneers, while external marquetry details the score to ‘Nessun Dorma’ – the aria from Puccini’s opera Turandot that became synonymous with Pavarotti after becoming the official song of the 1990 FIFA World Cup.

Inside, Pavarotti’s creative output – both on stage and off – is brought together for the first time, with over 130 hours of music presented alongside unseen content such as unseen family photographs and high-quality reproductions of his paintings in a hand-finished leather folio. The case features ground-breaking sound technology that encloses Pavarotti’s entire catalogue of recordings on an easy-to-use music player. This includes an album of newly-discovered recordings, produced as immersive sound – an overwhelming three-dimensional experience, as if Pavarotti is performing in your home. A lifetime supply of artistic tools completes the collection – an invitation to be creative, as Pavarotti himself would have wished .
