His paintings have also been featured in \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eVogue\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Observer\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Times\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. During his time in New York between 1990 and 1995, Michael illustrated an edition of Frances Hodgson Burnett's \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Secret Garden\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e for publisher Hugh Lauter Levin.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eInspired by the mystery and magic of trees and the natural world, Michael often incorporates these themes into his landscapes, urbanscapes and seascapes. He studied at West Surrey College of Art \u0026amp; Design and Brighton Art College, where he received his BA (Hons).
