Built from 1758 to 1762, the Temple of Theseus was conceived 'to be an eye catcher from Hagley Hall, and to provide a place from which to view the Malvern Hills' – as some of the text on the plaque on the original building and LINLEY's replica states.
The LINLEY keepsake box is made from walnut with the recessed windows on both sides depicted in Macassar ebony and the six fluted columns at the front are made in ebony.
The roof of the box opens to reveal a mirror in the lid and a lift-out compartmentalised tray lined in red faux suede - a special compartment within the tray has been fashioned to hold a LINLEY ring box for holding more precious individual pieces.
There is also a secret drawer, on a push catch system, situated elsewhere in the box.
A sterling silver, engravable plaque is set under the lid for personal messages and inscriptions.
